An effort to connect a green lifestyle with the next generation
Living harmoniously and understanding nature is Kanucha Resort`s motto. Therefore we would like to introduce our “environmental action” plans that connect the next generation with knowledge and understanding of the importance of the protection of the Yanbaru area and its nature.
Kanucha Resort has been contributing to environmental protection and is the only resort on the main island of Okinawa who, on December 3, 2009, has received the international standard for environmental management systems (ISO14001). Electricity, gas and waste management are a given but Kanucha Resort is always trying to find a way to prevent negative effects on the environment before they start. We are always looking for new ways to improve ourselves as an environmentally friendly resort.
Kanucha Resort produced environmentally sustainable action “E Yanbaru”
Yanbaru is surrounded by nature. At Kanucha Resort we want to protect this nature and share it with the future generations. What we are striving for is environmental sustainability. Even now we are always trying to attain the most effective ways to further the betterment of the environment and how we interact with it. We would like for the guests at Kanucha to also see the beauty of Yanbaru and the importance of preservation, therefore we will continually update and refine our preservation plans.
Kanucha Resort`s Initiative
- Implementation of a first new effort to offset carbon in Japan.
- An electronic charging station on resort property
- Implementation of the “I love coral island project” to protect Okinawa`s waters and coral reefs.
- Kanucha Resort participates in super cool biz and Challenge 25 to further protection of the futures environment.
